Bio
Kurt Wuckert Jr. is the CEO of Open Protocol Labs, and he has been working on Bitcoin since 2012. He co-founded GorillaPool, the BSV mining pool, with Root (Michael Boyd) in 2021, and founded Open Protocol Labs in 2023, the parent company behind bOpen: the commercial brand at bopen.io and the open-source toolkit at bopen.ai. The goal has not changed: reclaiming Satoshi Nakamoto's original design for global scaling.
He has been Chief Bitcoin Historian at CoinGeek since 2020, with more than 260 articles to his name. He hosted the CoinGeek Weekly Livestream through December 2025, and he hosts Kurt's Podcast on YouTube. He is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and an advanced coach at RMBJJ Academy. He is based in South Florida.
